"Happy Days at Tybee" photograph collection, 1919-1927.

This collection consists of 34 photographs mounted on one piece of black cardstock, accompanied by hand-written captions. The photographs are of partially identified people at the beach in Tybee, swimming, boating, sunbathing, and playing games. This collection was originally part of a larger group of materials accumulated by Henry M. Buckley, found in his house after his death. It is not known how or why he accumulated the papers.

No biographical information on Henry M. Buckley is available. Alexander Perry Solomon, Sr. (fl. 1869-1932) was a stationer, printer, and wholesale paper dealer in Savannah, Georgia, during the 1880s. He later became president and treasurer of the Tybee Artesian Water, Ice, and Lighting Co. at Lovell's Station on Tybee Island.
